data-end=\"845\">The Support Association<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"981\">The support association works to provide financial assistance to the <strong data-start=\"916\" data-end=\"980\">\u201cFriedrich D\u00fcrr\u201d Self-Managed Youth Center (JUZ) in Mannheim<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1174\">The association was founded in 2006 when cuts to municipal funding threatened the continuation of several JUZ projects, while others could not be realized at all due to financial constraints.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1342\">The idea is that current and former JUZ participants, as well as supporters and sympathizers, can help sustain the JUZ through donations and membership contributions.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"15b65ct\" data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1375\">Ongoing and Planned Projects<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1377\" data-end=\"1531\">Since then, the financial situation of the JUZ has improved somewhat, allowing the support association to focus on supporting ongoing and future projects.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1550\">Examples include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1654\">\n<li data-section-id=\"ypv1n\" data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1588\">Free language courses for refugees<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1ls584v\" data-start=\"1589\" data-end=\"1611\">The bicycle workshop<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"hg58yc\" data-start=\"1612\" data-end=\"1654\">Other educational and social initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1656\" data-end=\"1762\">Because the association can allocate funds flexibly, it is also able to respond quickly to changing needs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1764\" data-end=\"1800\">For example, donations help provide:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"1919\">\n<li data-section-id=\"ptfn5n\" data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"1828\">Reduced admission prices<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"10hzqso\" data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"1851\">Reduced drink prices<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1c03yxn\" data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"1919\">Partially free meals for people with little or no financial means<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1921\" data-end=\"1984\">In recent years, this support has primarily benefited refugees.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"gkmb3i\" data-start=\"1986\" data-end=\"2007\">How Funds Are Used<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2009\" data-end=\"2130\">Decisions regarding the allocation and use of funds are made within the framework of the JUZ&#8217;s self-management structure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2132\" data-end=\"2252\">The <strong data-start=\"2136\" data-end=\"2178\">Financial General Assembly (Finanz-VV)<\/strong>, held three times per year, determines how the funds will be distributed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2360\">Accordingly, the support association also holds three meetings per year, to which all members are invited.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2362\" data-end=\"2384\">These meetings decide:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2386\" data-end=\"2500\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1vg3gib\" data-start=\"2386\" data-end=\"2456\">The amount of money made available to the Financial General Assembly<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"cqn0ws\" data-start=\"2457\" data-end=\"2500\">The activities of the support association<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2502\" data-end=\"2545\">Examples of association activities include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2547\" data-end=\"2686\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1xz4pp8\" data-start=\"2547\" data-end=\"2565\">Summer festivals<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"100dxv4\" data-start=\"2566\" data-end=\"2592\">End-of-year celebrations<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1hiazvi\" data-start=\"2593\" data-end=\"2604\">Barbecues<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"op2o3m\" data-start=\"2605\" data-end=\"2659\">Information booths at the Max-Joseph-Stra\u00dfe Festival<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"u3gi2\" data-start=\"2660\" data-end=\"2686\">Other association events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"xgtdi\" data-start=\"2688\" data-end=\"2706\">Support the JUZ<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2708\"
